Even though it’s clearly impossible at this point, I’ll try to look at everything as unbiased as I can. My goal while writing this isn’t to guilt trip people into or out of liking or disliking Mako; it’s not to present a solution on how to fix the problem or how he can redeem himself; it’s not to patronize or look down upon the fandom for thinking this or that (though I know it may accidentally come off as such); it’s just an attempt at organizing my thoughts on how and why the fandom’s responded as we have to the guy.

Some ontd_lokers may recognize some of my words here since I’ve c/p a few of my comments from various discussions, but I’ve polished them up a bit and added more.
